In 2007, secretly, we discovered the existence of the group Misophone, and at the same time the album with the extended title: "Where Has It Gone, All The Beautiful Music Of Our Grandparents? It Died With Them.." Despite the obvious quality of this record, Misophone remained, as incredible as it may seem, the best kept secret of the year.
And now 2009 marks the return of the group with "I with Sit At Open windows"
Misophone is a duo from Bristol composed of M A Welsh and S Herbert. Together, they spend their time composing albums that they distribute free of charge or that they publish on the Swedish label Kning Disk as is the case for the latter Lp.

Living free from any risk of commercial success, the two guys spend their time composing in their apartment and refuse for the moment to play their songs live. In short, everything to make Misophone a cult group!
And yet, Misophone's music is not dark or tormented quite the contrary, it would be rather lively, fresh and quite light, reminiscent of Beirut, Eels, Yann Tiersen or even Matt Elliott with here, even more than in the past, a little folk side with western accents, like "conquest of the west" very pleasant.

But beyond these few references, almost too heavy to carry, we can say that Misophone's music is unlike any other and that, by its originality, its sweet madness, its apparent simplicity, it is unique and will only be found by those who go to get it.
